He holds a Doctorate in History from the University of Ottawa, where his research focused on popular resistance, nationalism, and subaltern communities during the period of French colonial domination in the 1940s and 1950s.
His academic journey reflects a coherent and progressive intellectual path, beginning with advanced training in history at the University of Yaoundé I in Cameroon and continuing with high-level research and teaching in Canada. Dr. Tatsitsa has served as a postdoctoral researcher, research assistant, and teaching assistant, and has taught undergraduate courses in African history and historical methodology at the University of Ottawa.
